This is the most keenly anticipated festivity for the people from San Sebastian. 15,000 people of all ages go to the streets with drums and barrels to pay a tribute to their patron saint. As an exception, the gastronomy societies open their doors at night for all the citizens. Drumrolls are also heard in the town of Azpeitia, celebrating the 52nd edition of its own tamborrada.
